That's a wrap! As the curtains close on 2022, we’re looking back at our favourite moments from this year. It’s been an eventful twelve months - from global lighting events to award-winning new products, this is our yearly highlight reel!

We launched Vibia's new Plusminus system.

On May 21st, our Sydney Lightspace was filled with lighting lovers, all in attendance for our launch of Vibia’s Plusminus system in collaboration with Saturday InDesign. Alongside serving up traditional Spanish fare such as sangria and paella, we fitted our Lightspace out with a range of stunning Plusminus designs. Immersive demonstrations and presentations left our guests feeling inspired! If you missed this event, don’t worry - you can still book a private presentation with your team and get the full scoop. 

We were at the forefront of worldwide lighting events.

The Plusminus system was also showcased by Vibia at Salon del Mobile, which took place from June 6th - 12th as part of Milan Design Week. Milan Design Week sees countless furniture and lighting brands showcase their newest products - with large-scale lighting displays, talks and presentations, demonstrations and networking events all taking place. ANDlight released their Column, Iris and Lobe pendants as part of Milan Design Week's Fuorisalone, installing their three new pendants at the purpose-built Offcut Bar at Alcova. Arkoslight created an immersive lighting display at Appartamento Spagnolo, a residential-style gallery that showcased their latest products - all of which can be found in their 2022 catalogue - including Vola, Yoru and more.

From October 2nd - 6th, the large-scale Light + Building trade show took place at Messe Frankfurt. Light + Building is the most widely-attended trade show for the global lighting and construction industry, with attendance usually hovering around 250,000. We took this opportunity to visit the team behind some of our key architectural lighting brands such as Neko and Feelux.

Over in Munich was Occhio’s Culture of Light Festival, which involved a wide array of groundbreaking new products, as well as keynote speeches and captivating demonstrations by designer and founder, Axel Meise. We’d love to extend a big thank you to our suppliers and their teams, as well as our hardworking Sales Partners, for helping us bring iconic lighting from Europe and North America onto our Australian shores and into our local projects. Thank you to all the architects, designers and lighting experts who worked with us this year, those who visited us for Saturday InDesign, and those who came for private showroom viewings with their teams. We loved seeing everyone at our Lightspace and we hope to see your faces again - in 2023 and beyond!
