Over the last 7 years, Arkoslight has won more than 50 awards for its catalogue of outstanding architectural lighting. The Valencia based company prides itself on products that are discreet and powerful with capabilities that allow them to stand out amongst the rest of the lighting market.
These are the products that earned international attention for their groundbreaking design as well as their aesthetic appeal.
Art is a simple, elegant pendant that’s designed to be arranged in groups, creating a maze-like appearance with an atmosphere of organised chaos. Art can also be installed as a singular pendant, bringing a pared-back look to any interior.
The light produced by Art is ambient and smooth, and it comes in two models – one which projects light downward, and another which utilises indirect lighting to also illuminate the space above.
Art took home the Red Dot Award this year as well as the ADCV Award for its energy efficiency, comfort on the eyes and its ability to meet both aesthetic and technical excellence with its potential use as a light sculpture.
Swap is one of the most varied product families in the Arkoslight catalogue. It’s ceiling recessed, with 8 models and six finishes to choose from. It comes in four varying sizes (small, medium, large or extra large), a round or square shape, and a symmetrical or asymmetrical beam that can project light at a 45 degree angle.
Swap has a Colour Rendering Index of 97 – the highest available on the market, meaning that Swap has unrivalled quality when it comes to colour purity and lighting comfort.
It also has warm-to-dim technology which allows it to produce very cool light at 100% of its luminous flux, which then becomes warmer and warmer as the light becomes less intense.
Swap is a Red Dot Award Winner, having secured the prize in 2016, and was nominated for the German Design Award in the same year. Its wide range of colours, sizes, shapes and applications makes it exceedingly versatile and reliable.
Top is an extra-small surface-mounted luminaire. Because of its discreet nature, Top is right at home in commercial projects; it’s best suited to galleries and shopfronts where the emphasis is on the light itself, not its source. Top does not require the use of tools for installation, instead relying on a simple bayonet system.
Top produces conical light with three beam angles to choose from – flood, spot and medium. It comes in a textured white or black finish and is also available in a Mini version, as well as a 48V tracklight model which delivers an outstanding lumen output using a low voltage track system.
Top won an Archiproducts Design Award last year, selected by a jury of 40 design experts from hundreds of global products. It also took home a Gold European Product Design Award this year – selected for its capacity to make everyday life simpler and more enriching with its easy-to-install design and outstanding light quality.
